Workshops
My teaching motto is: “If you knew how to make this, you wouldn’t be here.” I understand that my students are here to learn, and my goal is to guide and empower them by sharing my knowledge and expertise in all inclusive and relaxed environment.
Below is a list of workshops I currently provide, whether you choose to join me in person or via Zoom. Online classes are interactive, live sessions with close-up demonstration or videos of the process. They are conducted on my Zoom Account. Recording available to access for 30 days upon request. Every student receives a pattern that includes step-by-step instructions and illustrations, or a pattern of their choice in certain cases. This is downloadable in case of online class.
Wherever you’re based, get in touch with your group’s size, location and dates, and I’ll get back to you with availability and a price tailored to your group. I offer discount for small groups under 30 members and also when talk is booked togeher with workshop.
Wild Flowers
Are you a fan of Cow Parsley, Lavender, Alliums, or Dandelions? Join us as we explore the art of creating these lovely flowers using a combination of hand and machine embroidery.
- We will begin by crafting a simple background using strips, ideally remnants from past projects.
- On this foundation, we’ll layer one or multiple flower types, employing machine embroidery for the stems and leaves, alongside hand embroidery for the delicate blooms.
- The end result will be a charming wall hanging, and you have the flexibility to make it as small or large as you wish.
This class is offered in two formats: a full-day in-person session or a half-day (3-hour) class via Zoom, creating a smaller sample.

Intricate curves
This technique combines the use of freezer paper with a hybrid approach to piecing and appliqué. I have successfully applied this method in my award-winning quilts, Balance and Open to Interpretation.
On the day of the class, I will provide several designs for students to select from, and we will create a small wall hanging or cushion. This project will guide you through the intricacies of this technique, equipping you with the knowledge to apply it in your own creations.

Faux Chenille technique
Watch the fabric transform in front of your eyes. Your group will layer, stitch through and further snip their way to a soft, textured chenille effect — playful, unique, and always a favourite.
Suitable for confident beginners upward.
This class is offered in two formats: a full-day in-person session or pre-recorded sessions watched by participants at their leisure followed by a 3hour Zoom for Q&A and sew-along.

Stained Glass Windows
In this class, inspired by the Art Deco era and the work of René Mackintosh, I will guide you in recreating beautiful stained glass designs using fabric. Each student will select a design of their choice prior to the class to work on during the session. I’m also happy to assist students in developing their own unique designs.
While we do have tools available to make bias tape, I recommend purchasing ready-made tape for this class. This will help you complete your project more quickly and with greater precision.

Cathedral windows techniques
This rendition of the Cathedral window technique employs a non-traditional approach. Thanks to machine piecing, you can use a different colored fabric for the frame of each individual window against your background. When paired with the right fabrics, this method produces stunning contrasts that enhance the overall design.

Raw Edge Applique
This raw edge appliqué class is an ideal undertaking for quilters who have some experience with free motion quilting and wish to gain confidence, explore more freely, and cultivate their own distinctive quilting style.
In this class, the quilting takes center stage. The pieced background adds movement and intrigue, while circles and leaves, cut from coordinating fabrics, are secured in place using raw edge appliqué techniques. Free motion quilting is then applied to define the stems, enhance texture, and bring the flowers and leaves to life.
The true beauty of this project lies in its organic, whimsical nature — the stitching does not need to be perfectly precise. In fact, the small imperfections contribute to the cushion’s charm and character.
